Joe Bortner is a comic book artist and writer from Somerville, Massachusetts. He's a graphic designer and technical storyboard artist at his day job. He also moonlights as a boy detective, but he hasn't taken on a good case in years. 

Bortner's work includes comics like The Rockford High Mystery Society, Jake: Escape From Wizard Island, and a semi-popular series of fan-comics about the X-Men. He likes creating funny (and heartfelt) stories about young people in strange situations.
